The new pool will give a massive boost to the city of Worcester’s sporting credentials and guarantee it will become an important new destination for regional competition-level swimming.

The new pool features an eight-lane 25-metre competition standard pool designed to attract everyone from casual swimmers to Olympic and Paralympic champions.

Air Diffusion supplied the visible 1-way, 4-way louvre faced diffusers and the Cylinder Jet Diffusers on the far wall for the pool.

Supported by a £2m grant from Sport England, the pool and other fitness facilities at the leisure centre represent a significant investment by Worcester City Council to create a healthy and active city.

Air Diffusion Cylinder Jet Diffusers were used because they needed good air throws across the expansive main pool area. The main eight-lane main pool measures 25 metres by 17 metres and boasts poolside seating for 284 spectators with a further 118 seats around the poolside for swimmers.

Our 1-way louvre faced diffusers were selected because they needed the air guided to the viewing stand glazing in order to keep it clear at all times and 4-way diffusers were used adjacent the 1-way diffusers to act as the return air.

Air Diffusion also supplied Swirl diffusers (OD5) throughout the remaining areas, changing rooms, gym and so on - these were selected for their excellent air distribution patterns and air mixing.
